Friendly and hospitable, Villaviciosa welcomes all visitors.
Villaviciosa has some unique geographical characteristics where the sea, the mountain and
its estuary confer it some of the greatest tourist possibilities of the region. It is a must
for pilgrims who go to Santiago or Covadonga.

Its north side, completely open to the Cantabric Sea confers it a fishing resemblance, the
same as its green valleys and high mountains turn it into a cattle and agrariam district.
Several beaches of fine and golden sand, among those is Rodiles beach which has the blue flag of
the European Union. The varied gastronomy and the growing nightlife also attract the visitors.
The apple festival takes palce in September every two years in Villaviciosa.
Inside the cultural tourism it is necessary to highlight the Asturian Pre-Romanesque and
Romanesque, being Villaviciosa one of the districts that has a
bigger number of monuments of this type, highlighting among those San Salvador de
Valdediós, traditionally known The Conventin.
